MATRADE Strengthens Export Intelligence as Malaysia Trade Hits RM1.796 Trillion

Kuala Lumpur, 28 July 2026 – The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation will intensify real-time monitoring of global market conditions and provide Malaysian exporters with timely intelligence as businesses navigate shifting demand and supply-chain uncertainty.

Chairman Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican said Malaysia’s strong first-half trade performance should not lead to complacency. While recent figures demonstrate the competitiveness of Malaysian exports, external conditions remain fluid and require companies to respond more quickly to changes in markets, logistics and customer demand.
