FBM KLCI Trims Rebound as Investors Await Major Global Catalysts

Kuala Lumpur, 28 July 2026 – The FBM KLCI retreated in early Tuesday trade as investors locked in gains from the previous session and adopted a cautious position ahead of the United States Federal Reserve’s policy decision and earnings from major technology companies.

At 9.08am, the benchmark index was 6.05 points lower at 1,707.04. The decline followed Monday’s 12.07-point rebound, when bargain hunting in banking and plantation heavyweights lifted the index to 1,713.09.
