Tokyo, 28 July 2026 – The US dollar held at a one-month high on Tuesday as currency traders maintained expectations that the Federal Reserve could raise interest rates, despite lower oil prices offering some relief from immediate inflation concerns.
The dollar index, which measures the currency against a basket of major counterparts, edged 0.03% higher to 101.55. The euro slipped 0.01% to US$1.1366, while sterling eased 0.02% to US$1.3284.
