Indonesian Stocks Enter Bull Market After Sharp Rebound From June Low

Jakarta, 28 July 2026 – Indonesian equities have crossed into technical bull-market territory after the benchmark Jakarta Composite Index rebounded more than 20% from its early-June low, marking a sharp reversal for a market that had suffered one of Asia’s steepest sell-offs this year.

The index fell to about 5,318 points on 8 June as concerns over fiscal discipline, currency weakness and market transparency drove investors towards the sidelines. It subsequently climbed above the level required to confirm a technical bull market, briefly trading around 6,400 points during the latest phase of the recovery.
