Kuala Lumpur, 28 July 2026 – Menara Merdeka 118 has been officially renamed Menara Merdeka Maybank following Maybank’s relocation to the landmark skyscraper, strengthening the building’s commercial identity around one of Southeast Asia’s largest banking groups.

The renaming formalises Maybank’s position as the tower’s anchor tenant and marks another milestone in its headquarters transition from Jalan Tun Perak. The bank began operating from the new premises on 6 May 2026, with its registered headquarters now located at Level 70, Menara Merdeka Maybank, Presint Merdeka 118.
