Seoul, 27 April 2026 – South Korea and Australia will hold high-level diplomatic talks this week as both countries seek closer coordination on defence cooperation, energy security and supply chain stability amid the continuing Middle East crisis.
South Korean Foreign Minister Cho Hyun is scheduled to meet Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong in Seoul on Thursday for bilateral discussions, according to South Korea’s foreign ministry. The meeting is expected to cover shared challenges arising from the situation in the Middle East, including the global energy crisis and supply chain instability.
