Singapore and Thailand Lift ASEAN Consumer Confidence as Regional Sentiment Diverges

Singapore, 24 July 2026 – Consumer confidence across ASEAN remained resilient in 2026, supported by improving sentiment in Singapore and Thailand, even as households elsewhere in the region became more cautious about personal finances, employment security and rising living expenses.

The ASEAN Consumer Sentiment Index remained unchanged from a year earlier at 54 points, keeping it above the neutral level of 50 that separates optimism from pessimism. The findings were based on perceptions of present and future economic conditions alongside respondents’ personal financial outlook.
