Kuala Lumpur, 27 July 2026 – Bursa Malaysia opened higher on Monday as investors returned to risk assets following a weekend pause in military strikes between the United States and Iran, easing immediate concerns over a broader regional escalation and further disruption to global energy supplies.

At 9.05am, the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI rose 2.05 points to 1,703.07 from Friday’s close of 1,701.02. The benchmark opened 2.63 points stronger at 1,703.65, signalling renewed buying interest after recent geopolitical uncertainty weighed on regional equities.
