Shanghai, 27 July 2026 – Chinese memory-chip champion CXMT Corporation is set to begin trading in Shanghai after completing a blockbuster initial public offering that could raise as much as 66.6 billion yuan, or approximately US$9.8 billion, placing the company at the centre of China’s campaign to strengthen its domestic semiconductor industry.
The Hefei-based company, formerly known as ChangXin Memory Technologies, priced its shares at 8.66 yuan each on the Shanghai Stock Exchange’s technology-focused STAR Market. The offering initially raised about 57.9 billion yuan from the sale of nearly 6.7 billion shares, with proceeds rising to 66.6 billion yuan if the overallotment option is exercised in full.
