Chandler, 8 May 2026 – Microchip Technology has delivered an upbeat revenue outlook, signalling that demand for semiconductors used across industrial equipment, automotive systems, aerospace, defence and artificial intelligence infrastructure is continuing to recover.
The Arizona-based chipmaker expects first-quarter revenue of between US$1.44 billion and US$1.47 billion, ahead of the average analyst estimate of about US$1.34 billion. The stronger guidance suggests that the semiconductor downcycle that affected several end-markets is easing, particularly as customers rebuild orders in industrial and automotive applications.
