Kuala Lumpur, 27 April 2026 – Gamuda Bhd and Sunway Construction Group Bhd are expected to see stronger earnings visibility after securing major hyperscale data centre contracts, reinforcing Malaysia’s growing position as a regional hub for digital infrastructure investment.

TA Research estimates that the recent back-to-back data centre contract wins could carry profit before tax margins of about 8% for both contractors. Based on that assumption, the contracts could contribute around RM137.6 million in profit before tax to Gamuda and RM140 million to SunCon over their respective contract periods.
