Singapore, 28 July 2026 – Singapore’s financial sector expanded 4.3% in 2025 and created an average of 4,200 net jobs a year over the preceding five years, reinforcing the city-state’s position as one of Asia’s most resilient financial hubs. The performance met the industry transformation target of 4% to 5% annual growth through 2025.
Financial services account for about 14% of Singapore’s gross domestic product, making the sector a central source of high-value employment, tax revenue and international capital flows. Growth was broad-based across banking, insurance, asset management, foreign exchange, fixed income and sustainable finance, rather than depending on a single line of business.
