Taylor Swift has unveiled two more alternate vinyl variants for her highly anticipated 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The announcement, made on Thursday, introduces the “Baby That’s Show Business” edition, featuring a fresh alternate album cover and exclusive vinyl colors.
The two new variants come in striking shades: a dark-toned “lakeside beach blue sparkle” and a vibrant yellow-orange blend named “lovely bouquet golden.” Both designs share the same reimagined cover art, distinguished by darker shading. These special edition records are available for purchase until August 23, though they are expected to sell out quickly, mirroring the rapid demand for the “Shiny Bug” edition launched earlier in the week.
In total, Swift has now revealed four unique vinyl variants for The Life of a Showgirl, a marketing strategy that has become a signature element of her album rollouts. By offering multiple physical formats—from vinyl to CDs and cassettes—Swift has turned each release into a collector’s item. This approach has consistently propelled her to blockbuster sales figures, making her one of the few artists in the digital era capable of reliably surpassing one million units in first-week sales.
The album itself was first announced just over a week ago during Swift’s appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce. Scheduled for release on October 3, the record will see her reunite with renowned producers Max Martin and Shellback, collaborators behind some of her biggest pop anthems, including “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” and “22.”
During the podcast, Swift also offered candid insights into her career and personal life. She reflected on regaining control of her music catalog, the global impact of her Eras Tour, and her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce. Speaking about the early days of their romance, Swift likened it to a scene from a classic ‘80s John Hughes film, recalling Kelce’s grand gestures as if he were “standing outside of my window with a boombox.” She added that the experience mirrored the kind of moments she had dreamed of since her teenage years and often wrote about in her music.
With her latest rollout blending nostalgia, exclusivity, and fan engagement, Swift once again demonstrates her unmatched ability to shape not just the music charts, but the culture of modern pop itself.
