Kuala Lumpur, 19 July 2026 – Malaysia may increase assistance under the Sumbangan Asas Rahmah programme in Budget 2027 if the government secures sufficient savings and strengthens its fiscal position, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.
The possible increase would form part of the government’s continuing effort to ease household living costs while directing public resources towards Malaysians who require the greatest support.
