Prudent Spending Will Not Dampen Malaysia’s National Month Spirit, Says Fahmi

Putrajaya, 19 July 2026 – Malaysia’s National Month celebrations will remain vibrant and meaningful despite a more prudent approach to public spending, Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil said, as preparations intensify for National Day and Malaysia Day.

The government is seeking to manage expenditure responsibly without reducing the patriotic atmosphere, public participation or significance of the annual celebrations.
