Sunway Healthcare Cautiously Optimistic on 2026 Outlook as Capacity Expansion Supports Growth

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 May 2026 – Sunway Healthcare Holdings Berhad remains cautiously optimistic on its 2026 outlook, supported by resilient patient demand, hospital capacity expansion and growing medical tourism contribution, even as cost pressures and global uncertainty continue to shape the private healthcare operating environment.

The healthcare group entered the year with a stronger operating base after posting revenue of RM2.2 billion in FY2025, representing a 19% year-on-year increase from RM1.85 billion. Net profit, however, came in slightly lower at RM252.2 million compared with RM257.5 million in FY2024, reflecting higher operating and expansion-related costs as the group continued to grow its hospital network.
