Azalina Warns Against Racial Rhetoric as Negeri Sembilan Campaign Intensifies

Seremban, 25 July 2026 – Political leaders must avoid rhetoric that questions the belonging of Malaysian citizens or exploits racial and religious sensitivities during the Negeri Sembilan state election campaign, according to UMNO Information Chief Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

Azalina said remarks by Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Mohd Nor suggesting that Malaysians of Chinese and Indian descent have ancestral countries elsewhere should not be dismissed as ordinary campaign language.
