Singapore, 23 July 2026 – Asian equities advanced after major US technology companies reinforced plans for substantial artificial intelligence infrastructure spending, lifting regional semiconductor shares even as surging oil prices and renewed inflation concerns limited broader risk appetite.

South Korea led the regional gains, with the Kospi rising more than 3% as investors returned to leading semiconductor manufacturers.
