Government Launches New Smart Manufacturing Scheme Under NIMP CoSIF to Boost SME Digitalisation

Kuala Lumpur, 21 July 2026 – The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) and the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) have introduced a new Smart Manufacturing Scheme under the New Industrial Master Plan 2030’s Strategic Co-Investment Fund (NIMP CoSIF), aimed at accelerating digital transformation and improving access to growth capital for Malaysian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and mid-tier companies (MTCs).

The initiative introduces a more attractive co-investment framework for companies investing in advanced manufacturing technologies, with the Government contributing RM2 for every RM1 raised from private investors. The enhanced 2:1 co-investment ratio will remain available until 2030.
