Washington, 24 July 2026 – The United States has introduced new tariffs of between 10% and 12.5% on imports from 60 major trading partners, including Malaysia, as the temporary 10% global tariff imposed earlier this year reaches its expiry.
The new duties took effect at the same time as the temporary tariff ended, preventing a return to the lower import rates that applied before the latest phase of United States trade restrictions.
