Kuala Lumpur, 29 June 2026 – The ringgit closed stronger against the US dollar and a basket of major and regional currencies, supported by easing pressure on Asian foreign-exchange markets as investors reassessed the outlook for US interest rates.
At 6pm, the local note appreciated to 4.0860/0910 against the greenback from 4.1160/1200 at the previous close, extending its recent recovery as the US dollar softened and regional currencies gained support.
