SC Issues Sukuk Guidance Note to Deepen Maqasid al-Shariah Alignment in Islamic Capital Market

Kuala Lumpur, 29 June 2026 – The Securities Commission Malaysia has issued a new Guidance Note on Sukuk to strengthen the alignment of sukuk issuances with Maqasid al-Shariah, reinforcing Malaysia’s position as a global leader in Islamic capital market innovation.

The Guidance Note on Sukuk: An Alignment with Maqasid al-Shariah Guidance Islamic Capital Market Malaysia is aimed at encouraging a more holistic assessment of sukuk issuances beyond technical Shariah compliance.
