Plus Xnergy Deploys 20 MWh BESS in Perak as Industrial Energy Storage Moves Into Commercial Scale

Kuala Lumpur, 29 June 2026 – Plus Xnergy Services Sdn Bhd has fully operationalised one of Malaysia’s largest single-deployment, self-consumption Battery Energy Storage Systems, marking a major step forward for commercial and industrial energy storage adoption in the country.

The 20 megawatt-hour system has been deployed at a major food manufacturing facility in Perak in collaboration with global battery energy storage system leader HyperStrong. The project is now fully connected to the grid and commercially operational under the self-consumption, or SELCO, framework.
