Kuala Lumpur, 14 May 2026 – Johor’s workforce is showing signs of a growing mismatch between skills readiness and salary expectations as the state prepares for the next phase of growth under the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone.

A new workforce study released ahead of the JS-SEZ Masterplan announcement found that Johor’s labour market is entering a more complex transition.
