SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 Highlights Malaysia’s Rising Role in Global Chip Supply Chains

Kuala Lumpur, 12 May 2026 – SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 has concluded in Kuala Lumpur, placing Malaysia and the wider region at the centre of discussions on global semiconductor supply-chain shifts, intelligent manufacturing, sustainability, talent development and higher-value industry growth.

The 31st edition of SEMICON Southeast Asia, held at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre, reinforced Southeast Asia’s evolving role in the global semiconductor value chain. The region is increasingly moving beyond its traditional strength in assembly, testing and packaging toward higher-value segments such as integrated circuit design, advanced packaging and intelligent manufacturing.
