SC Chairman Urges Institutional Investors To Drive Malaysia’s Market Investability

Kuala Lumpur, 2 July 2026 – Malaysia’s capital market must move beyond governance as a compliance exercise and focus more sharply on investability, market discipline and long-term value creation, Securities Commission Malaysia Chairman Dato’ Mohammad Faiz Azmi said.

Speaking at the Institutional Investors Council Corporate Governance Conference 2026, Faiz said Malaysia’s next phase of capital market growth requires a coordinated effort across regulators, listed companies, boards, controlling shareholders and institutional investors.
