SC Opens Oxford Islamic Finance Fellowship Applications to Strengthen Global ICM Thought Leadership

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 May 2026 – The Securities Commission Malaysia is inviting applications for the 15th Scholar in Residence Fellowship Programme in Islamic Finance at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies in the United Kingdom, reinforcing Malaysia’s continued push to strengthen global thought leadership in Islamic capital markets.

The programme, open for the 2026/2027 academic year, provides qualified practitioners in Islamic finance and related fields the opportunity to undertake independent applied research on strategic and contemporary issues affecting the Islamic capital market. The selected scholar will be based at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies for one academic year beginning October 2026.
