Regional Cybersecurity Leaders Gather in Kuala Lumpur to Address Rising AI-Driven Threats

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 May 2026 – More than 25 Chief Information Security Officers and cybersecurity leaders from Malaysia and Singapore gathered in Kuala Lumpur for the CISO Leadership Roundtable 2026, as organisations across the region face rising risks from artificial intelligence-enabled cyberattacks, sophisticated phishing and human-centric security threats.

The closed-door roundtable, co-hosted by SSQUAD Global and Securonix, brought together senior cybersecurity practitioners, policymakers and technology leaders to discuss emerging risks, operational resilience and the role of artificial intelligence in modern cybersecurity strategy. The event focused on how organisations and governments can respond to adaptive attacks that use AI, automation and targeted social engineering to exploit both systems and human behaviour.
