Kuala Lumpur, 9 June 2026 – Malaysia is entering a more resilient phase of economic management as fiscal reforms, policy clarity and stronger institutional execution help the country navigate external shocks, Finance Minister II Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan said at Invest Malaysia 2026.

Speaking during a session on balancing fiscal focus with external uncertainties, Amir Hamzah said the government has spent the past few years rebuilding Malaysia’s economic foundations, improving policy credibility and creating stronger buffers against global volatility.
