Beijing, 29 July 2026 – Chinese artificial-intelligence chipmaker Cambricon is targeting about US$14.8 billion in revenue over three years under a staff incentive plan, placing an ambitious commercial benchmark behind China’s push for greater semiconductor self-reliance.
The target links employee rewards to business expansion, creating a visible measure of management’s confidence in demand for domestic AI processors. Incentive structures can help retain engineers in a competitive labour market, but they also raise expectations for execution, customer adoption and production access.
