Former Kyaputen Director Jailed Five Years Over Illegal Fund Management

Kuala Lumpur, 15 July 2026 – The Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court has sentenced former Kyaputen Sdn Bhd director Muhamad Fadzli Jamaludin to five years in prison after convicting him of unlicensed fund management and money laundering offences linked to RM1.263 million in investor losses.

The judgment followed a joint trial involving three charges of conducting a fund management business without a licence and nine money laundering charges. Six victims testified that they had collectively lost RM1.263 million through activities carried out between August 2018 and April 2020 in Kuala Lumpur and Melaka.
