Malaysia Says Tech Commune Residents Hold Valid Travel Documents as Forest City Scrutiny Continues

Kuala Lumpur, 15 July 2026 – Malaysia’s Immigration Department has said that residents of a digital nomad community linked to former Coinbase chief technology officer Balaji Srinivasan possess valid travel documents, following public scrutiny over the group’s presence in Johor’s Forest City.

The clarification comes after authorities began reviewing claims involving the community, known as The Network School, including questions over the identities, nationalities and entry documentation of its participants.
