Indian Firms Invest Over US$3 Billion in Malaysia, Creating 30,000 Jobs

Kuala Lumpur, 17 June 2026 – Indian companies operating in Malaysia have invested more than US$3 billion and created over 30,000 jobs, underscoring the growing depth of economic ties between the two countries as businesses look toward new opportunities in digital technology, green energy and advanced manufacturing.

The figures were highlighted by the Consortium of Indian Industries in Malaysia, or CIIM, as it marked its 20th anniversary and renewed its commitment to deepen industrial cooperation between Malaysia and India.
