Padini Denies Links to Eight Individuals in MACC Probe

Kuala Lumpur, 6 May 2026 – Padini Holdings Berhad has clarified that eight individuals detained in connection with an ongoing Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission investigation are not employees, officers or members of the group’s management, as the fashion retailer continues to manage investor concerns following the freezing of several bank accounts.

The clarification comes after earlier disclosures that 21 bank accounts belonging to Padini and several subsidiaries had been frozen under Section 44(1) of the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001. The affected accounts include accounts under Padini Holdings, Padini Corporation Sdn Bhd, Yee Fong Hung (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Padini Dot Com Sdn Bhd, Seed Corporation Sdn Bhd and Vincci Ladies’ Specialties Centre Sdn Bhd.
