AMD Forecasts Stronger Revenue as AI Chip Demand Drives Data Centre Growth

Santa Clara, 6 May 2026 – Advanced Micro Devices has forecast second-quarter revenue above market expectations, supported by strong demand for artificial intelligence chips and continued growth in its data centre business.

The US semiconductor company expects second-quarter revenue of about US$11.2 billion, plus or minus US$300 million, as cloud providers and enterprise customers continue expanding AI infrastructure. The guidance came after AMD reported first-quarter revenue of US$10.25 billion and adjusted earnings per share of US$1.37, both ahead of market expectations.
