TotalEnergies To Sell Marjoram Gas Field Interest To INPEX For US$350 Million

Kuala Lumpur, 2 July 2026 – TotalEnergies is divesting its minority non-operated interest in Malaysia’s Marjoram gas field to Japan’s INPEX for US$350 million, as the French energy major continues to optimise its upstream gas portfolio while maintaining Malaysia as a strategic platform in Southeast Asia.

The transaction involves TotalEnergies’ 85% interest in Block 2E offshore Malaysia, which represents a net 8.5% stake in the Marjoram gas field. The field is currently under development and forms part of Malaysia’s broader offshore gas landscape, where regional and international energy groups continue to position themselves for long-term liquefied natural gas and domestic gas supply opportunities.
