Bursa Malaysia’s 1Q2026 PATAMI Rises 6.4% to RM72.8 Million as Market Activity Strengthens

Kuala Lumpur, 30 April 2026 – Bursa Malaysia Berhad opened 2026 on a stronger footing, with Profit After Tax, Zakat and Minority Interest rising 6.4 percent year-on-year to RM72.8 million for the first quarter ended 31 March 2026, supported by higher securities trading activity, resilient derivatives performance and continued IPO momentum.

The exchange operator recorded operating revenue of RM206.9 million for 1Q2026, up 16.4 percent from RM177.7 million in the same period last year. Total revenue rose 16.1 percent to RM214.1 million, while profit from operations increased 7.9 percent to RM98.8 million. Bursa Malaysia said the improved performance was underpinned mainly by stronger trading activity in the Securities Market, as well as higher listing and issuer fees.
