AirTrunk Doubles Malaysia Investment to RM27 Billion as Data Centre Race Accelerates

Kuala Lumpur, 30 April 2026 – Australia’s AirTrunk will double its investment in Malaysia to RM27 billion, strengthening the country’s position as one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing data centre hubs and reinforcing investor confidence in Malaysia’s digital infrastructure strategy.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said AirTrunk will increase its investment by another RM12 billion this year, bringing its total commitment in Malaysia to RM27 billion. The expansion marks a major vote of confidence in Malaysia’s ability to attract high-value digital infrastructure projects at a time when demand for artificial intelligence, cloud computing and hyperscale data capacity continues to rise across Asia.
