Staad, 29 April 2026 – Supratechnic Pte Ltd, an indirect subsidiary of SGX Mainboard-listed USP Group Ltd, is expanding its regional clean-air platform after its Indonesian affiliate, PT Supratechnic Instrumentasi Indonesia, was appointed nationwide distributor for IQAir in Indonesia.
The appointment formalises Supratechnic Indonesia’s long-standing distribution role for the Swiss air quality technology company, strengthening the group’s position in Southeast Asia’s fast-growing clean-air and healthcare solutions market. It also follows Supratechnic’s sole nationwide distributorship for selected IQAir products in Singapore, announced on 14 April 2026.
Together, the Singapore and Indonesia appointments place Supratechnic at the centre of two strategically important markets: Singapore as a regional commercial hub and Indonesia as Southeast Asia’s largest consumer market. The move also reflects rising demand for premium air purification solutions as households, healthcare providers, schools, corporates and hospitality operators pay closer attention to indoor air quality.
Supratechnic Indonesia has worked with IQAir since 2016, building its presence across residential, commercial and institutional segments. The new nationwide appointment gives the company a stronger mandate to expand market development from its Jakarta distribution base, supported by technical expertise, service infrastructure and established trade relationships.
Melvin Tan, Chief Executive Officer of Supratechnic, said securing nationwide rights in both Singapore and Indonesia marks a transformative milestone for the group. He said Supratechnic Indonesia had earned the appointment through a decade of disciplined execution, while the trust from INCEN AG, the company behind IQAir International, reflected the infrastructure built between both parties.
“Clean indoor air is rapidly becoming a non-negotiable standard for homes, hospitals, schools, and workplaces across Southeast Asia. We are privileged to bring IQAir’s hospital-trusted technology to Indonesian consumers and institutions with the service depth and integrity the brand deserves,” he said.
Indonesia’s air quality challenges are significant. Jakarta has frequently faced severe pollution episodes, while wider national issues such as vehicular emissions, haze, volatile organic compounds from urban renovation and denser urban living have increased awareness of indoor air quality risks. These conditions are reshaping consumer and institutional demand for reliable purification systems.
The Indonesian air purifier market was valued at US$147.99 million in 2024 and is projected to reach US$410.48 million by 2030, representing an annual growth rate of 18.53%. As nationwide distributor, Supratechnic Indonesia aims to serve the clinical-grade and ultra-premium segments of this expanding market.
Founded in Switzerland in 1963, IQAir is known for air quality technology used by hospitals, laboratories and specialist clinics. Its HyperHEPA filtration technology is designed to capture ultrafine particles down to 0.003 microns, including fine combustion particles, bacteria, viruses and smoke-related pollutants. The brand’s positioning in hospital and institutional environments gives Supratechnic a stronger platform to target healthcare, corporate and premium residential customers.
Jens Hammes, Chief Executive Officer of INCEN AG, said IQAir’s partnership with Supratechnic in Singapore dates back to 2004, adding that the team had shown professionalism, technical depth and commitment to building the brand with integrity. He said Supratechnic Indonesia had demonstrated the same dedication since 2016, making the nationwide appointment a natural progression.
As part of the Indonesia expansion, Supratechnic will introduce Suprayi.com Indonesia within 2026. The platform, already launched in Singapore, will function as a dedicated IQAir e-commerce and advisory channel, giving consumers and institutions direct access to genuine products, local warranty coverage, technical advisory and authorised after-sales support.
The group’s go-to-market priorities include expanding IQAir’s presence in premium residential and hospitality segments, developing healthcare, laboratory, corporate and institutional accounts, supporting direct-to-consumer access through Suprayi.com Indonesia and strengthening nationwide service and authorised filter replacement support.
The Ledger Asia Insights
Supratechnic’s Indonesia appointment reflects a wider Southeast Asian trend where clean-air solutions are moving from lifestyle products into healthcare, workplace safety and institutional resilience.
Indonesia offers scale, urban density and rising air quality awareness, making it one of the region’s most important clean-air markets. For Supratechnic, the combination of authorised distribution, technical support and e-commerce access could create a stronger platform for long-term growth.
The key takeaway is that air quality is becoming a serious business category in ASEAN, especially as consumers and institutions place greater value on health protection, trusted technology and certified after-sales service.
