MELAKA, 26 September 2025 Radium Healthcare Sdn Bhd, the healthcare arm of Radium Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Manipal University College Malaysia (MUCM) to collaborate on clinical training, research, and healthcare education in Melaka.

The partnership will support the development of Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh, a 140-bed tertiary hospital scheduled to open in 2028, designed to meet both local and regional healthcare needs.

The MoU was formalised at MUCM’s campus and signed by Radium Group Managing Director Datuk Gary Gan and MUCM Chief Operating Officer Mr. Gaurav Rekhi.

Addressing Healthcare Needs in Melaka

Radium Hospital @ Ayer Keroh will specialise in trauma, cardiac, neonatal, and infertility services, responding to Melaka’s population of about one million, which faces rising non-communicable diseases and ageing demographics in line with national healthcare trends.

Malaysia’s healthcare sector is projected to grow rapidly, with national health expenditure expected to hit RM45.3 billion by end-2025 and an annual growth rate of 8.7% through 2028. Across the region, Singapore’s public healthcare spending has also surged, underscoring cross-border demand for modern hospital facilities and medical expertise.
