KUALA LUMPUR – Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Yusof bin Apdal, today officiated the soft launch of the ASEAN Technology Cooperation & Development Summit 2025 at The Exchange 106.

Organised by Intrinsic SEA, the summit will run from 25–26 November 2025 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur, alongside WE2025: Future in Motion. Positioned under WE2025’s Future Tech & AI pillar, it will spotlight ASEAN innovation, investment, and cross-border collaboration β€” advancing inclusive innovation, sustainable growth, and regional economic leadership.

The event will bring together more than 100 companies, over 50 global investors, and 2,000 innovators and ecosystem leaders from ASEAN, China, Canada, Australia, the Middle East, Europe, and Japan. A technology exhibition featuring 100+ booths will showcase frontier solutions across key industries. Partners include NCT Group, Tus Cross-Border Innovation, and Jiahe Convention & Exhibitions.

With over 50,000 livestream viewers expected, the summit reinforces Malaysia’s role as a regional innovation hub and offers Malaysian entrepreneurs valuable access to global investors and new markets.

Five strategic pillars will guide the programme:

  1. Future Mobility & Smart Transportation
  2. Future Healthcare & Digital Medicine
  3. Future Consumer & Digital Commerce
  4. Future Building & Safety Emergency Response
  5. Future Employment & Entrepreneurship

Key highlights include leadership keynotes, ministerial roundtables, an ASEAN startup and investor showcase, investment opportunity spotlights, and a global partnership gala dinner.

YB Dato’ Haji Mohammad Yusof emphasised the summit’s alignment with MOSTI’s mission to position Malaysia as a global technology developer by 2030, and called for more gender-inclusive innovation ecosystems, noting the importance of increasing STEM opportunities for women and fostering equitable access to capital, networks, and leadership roles.

Richard Teo, Executive Chairman of Qube Integrated Malaysia and Organising Chair of WE2025, reaffirmed the platform’s commitment to inclusive growth, ensuring women have meaningful opportunities in tech innovation.

Ravenna Chen, CEO of Intrinsic SEA, described the summit as a results-driven platform designed to accelerate cross-border collaboration, integrate technology into value chains, and build a globally competitive ASEAN innovation ecosystem. She highlighted its alignment with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, the 10th anniversary of the ASEAN Community, and ASEAN Vision 2045.

The ASEAN Technology Cooperation & Development Summit 2025 forms a core part of WE2025: Future in Motion, Malaysia’s flagship initiative for advancing women in trade, investment, and leadership. WE2025, organised by Qube Integrated Malaysia with the Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development and the Department of Women Development, will take place from 25–27 November 2025 at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.
