Kuala Lumpur, 30 May 2026 – Malaysian tycoon Tan Sri Vincent Tan is reportedly considering the sale of his remaining 30% stake in Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad, in a potential transaction that could value the insurer at RM20 billion or more.
The potential divestment would mark another major development in the long-running ownership story surrounding Prudential’s Malaysian insurance business. It follows an earlier deal in which Prudential agreed to acquire an additional 19% stake, raising its ownership in Prudential Assurance Malaysia to 70% once completed.
