MTT Shipping Secures Two Vessel Construction Contracts Worth Nearly USD80 Million from Wuhu Shipyard

Kuala Lumpur, 30 May 2026 – MTT Shipping and Logistics Berhad is strengthening its long-term fleet capacity after two of its indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries accepted vessel construction contracts from China-based Wuhu Shipyard Co., Ltd. for the construction of two new 3,300 TEU container vessels.

The contracts were awarded to MTT Shipping Pasir Gudang Sdn. Bhd. and MTT Shipping Miri Sdn. Bhd., each involving the construction and delivery of one 3,300 TEU container vessel. Each contract is valued at USD39.966 million, bringing the combined contract value to approximately USD79.932 million.
