Mariah Carey to Bring Holiday Magic to Las Vegas with “Christmastime in Vegas” Shows

Las Vegas, 15 September 2025 — Christmas is coming early for fans of Mariah Carey, as the global superstar and self-proclaimed “Queen of Christmas” has confirmed a festive residency in Las Vegas later this year. Her new show, titled Mariah Carey’s Christmastime in Vegas, will take over the Dolby Live at Park MGM with ten glittering performances designed to wrap audiences in holiday magic while celebrating her extraordinary career.

Carey announced the news on Instagram with her signature enthusiasm. “Excited to bring Christmastime to the Dolby Live at Park MGM in Vegas!” she wrote on Monday, September 15. The run begins Friday, November 28, the day after Thanksgiving, and concludes on Saturday, December 13.

Tickets officially go on sale Saturday, September 20, at 10 a.m. PT, with presale access opening three days earlier for MGM Rewards members, along with select Live Nation and Ticketmaster customers.

A Festive Encore After “Mimi”

This new residency follows the success of The Celebration of Mimi Live residencies in 2024 and 2025, where Carey revisited highlights from her three-decade discography in front of sold-out crowds. Those shows reinforced Carey’s enduring star power in Las Vegas, positioning her among the city’s most bankable headliners. Christmastime in Vegas promises a different flavor: a seasonal celebration that will combine her unparalleled catalogue of holiday music with the glittering spectacle of a Vegas production.

Carey’s holiday identity is anchored by her iconic hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” Originally released in 1994, the single has become one of the most successful holiday songs of all time. Since 2017, it has topped the Billboard Hot 100 every year during the Christmas season. In December 2024, it logged four consecutive weeks at No. 1, pushing its all-time tally at the chart’s summit to 18 weeks.

Queen of Christmas and Beyond

While Carey’s holiday crown shines brightest at year’s end, her influence extends far beyond seasonal hits. The singer holds an astonishing 19 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles, placing her among the most successful recording artists in music history. Her ability to weave together powerhouse ballads, pop anthems, and R&B staples has ensured her relevance across generations of fans, affectionately known as the “Lambily.”

Earlier this month, Carey was celebrated at the MTV Video Music Awards, where she received the prestigious Video Vanguard Award in recognition of her decades-long contributions to music and visual storytelling. She marked the occasion with a career-spanning medley of hits before accepting her first Moon Person trophy. With characteristic humor, she quipped in her acceptance speech: “What in the Sam Hill took you so long?!”

A Holiday Tradition Reinvented

Las Vegas has increasingly become a magnet for seasonal residencies, but Carey’s Christmastime in Vegas is poised to stand out thanks to her singular association with Christmas music. The show is expected to blend dazzling stage design, festive visuals, and Carey’s signature vocals into a family-friendly spectacle. For fans, it offers a chance to hear “Oh Santa!,” “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” and her original classics performed live in a city built for grandeur.

Industry watchers suggest the holiday residency could generate significant tourism and box-office revenue, as fans from across the U.S. and abroad flock to Las Vegas to combine festive spirit with a destination getaway. If successful, the residency could become an annual tradition, further solidifying Carey’s hold on the Christmas entertainment market.

As December approaches, the “Queen of Christmas” appears ready once again to deliver joy, sparkle, and holiday cheer — proving that for Mariah Carey, Christmas is not just a season, but a global phenomenon.
