Kuala Lumpur, 19 June 2026 – Eastern & Oriental Berhad is expanding the long-term value proposition of Andaman Island with a new healthcare-led development, after its wholly-owned subsidiary KCB Holdings Sdn Bhd entered into a conditional joint venture agreement with Cengild Medical Berhad and Skyspring Sdn Bhd to develop a multidisciplinary tertiary private hospital within the Gurney Green district in Penang.
The proposed hospital marks a strategic step in E&O’s broader masterplan for Andaman Island, positioning the waterfront township not only as a residential and lifestyle destination, but also as a more complete urban ecosystem supported by essential community infrastructure.
