A State Department spokesperson said the revocations demonstrate a commitment to ongoing review of people who hold US visas. The stated policy is that visitors and residents must obey the law, comply with visa conditions and avoid conduct that threatens security. Drunk driving, assault and theft were identified among the main offences resulting in cancellations.
