Dublin, 5 November 2026 – ORIX Aviation Systems Limited has completed its acquisition of Welsh aviation aftermarket specialist AerFin Limited, extending the Japanese-owned lessor’s activities into aircraft, engine and component support. ORIX’s completion statement dates the closing to 2 November, following regulatory approvals and other conditions. The transaction has been reported at approximately GBP 475 million, although that value was not specified in the completion release.
The deal matters to Asian aviation investors because it combines aircraft leasing and asset management with a business that buys, sells, leases and repairs aircraft, engines and parts. The strategic proposition is broader support throughout an aircraft’s operating life. It is not evidence that the combined group has already achieved higher earnings, cost savings or a specified return on the purchase price.
