Singapore, 9 October 2026 – Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr is using a five-day working visit to Singapore to promote investment priorities and deepen bilateral cooperation, with the Formula One weekend providing an additional setting for meetings with business and political leaders. The visit runs from 7 to 11 October at the invitation of Singapore Prime Minister Lawrence Wong. Marcos is scheduled to engage with leaders at a global chief executives’ conference, meet Wong, visit Singapore’s nuclear research and safety institute and attend the Grand Prix. He has described the race as a useful gathering point for potential investors and said Philippine government funds would not bear the cost of his attendance.
