Bengaluru, India, 18 August 2026 – Gold rose for a third straight session as traders reduced expectations of a US interest-rate increase next month and waited for the Federal Reserve’s latest meeting minutes for clues on the policy path.
Spot gold was up 0.2% at US$4,424.28 an ounce by 0130 GMT, while US gold futures for December delivery edged 0.2% higher to US$4,480.90. The advance came as the dollar lingered near multi-month lows, making bullion less expensive for buyers using other currencies.
