Petaling Jaya, 6 October 2026 – IJM Corporation Bhd has appointed Datuk Johan Idris as independent non-executive chairman, bringing more than three decades of audit and advisory experience to a diversified group whose governance demands span construction, property, infrastructure and industrial operations.

The appointment completes a planned transition after former chairman Tan Sri Krishnan Tan retired at the company’s annual general meeting on 27 August. Datuk Lee Teck Yuen, who served as interim chairman, has been redesignated as a non-independent non-executive director and remains on the board.
